About Tactical Avian Predators
Owned and operated by Jim Tigan, TAP is a California business that provides ecologically sound pest control. TAP is a licensed and insured pest-control firm operated out of Marysville, California. The primary method of pest control is the use of falcons. Using falcons for bird abatement is safe, non-toxic and humane. The falcons are housed under the strictest standards set forth by federal and state law.
TAP also provides habitat control, trapping, banding and releasing and other proprietary methods of pest control.
Jim Tigan has been a Master Falconer for 15 years. He has 25 years of falconry experience. While a member of the U.S. Coast Guard, he founded the world-famous Alaska Raptor Rehabilitation Center. In addition, Jim’s 13 years in Coast Guard Aviation and his experience as a private pilot qualify him for abatement projects on or near aviation operations. Jim was a subcontractor of the World Birds of Prey Center and flew falcons at Travis Air Force Base.
He has lectured to groups and schools and gives private and group lessons to would-be falconers. He designs custom “Hawking Days” for clients who wish to combine falconry with nature hikes. Jim is on the board of directors of the California Hawking Club.
