Tactical Avian Predators’
Integrated Pest Management Strategy

We survey surroundings and propose changes that make the habitat less attractive to pest birds. We remove barriers that discourage natural predators. If practical, we establish nest boxes to attract predators.

For many clients, TAP will begin an aggressive trapping program. Birds are trapped alive, banded and relocated to a more favorable but less damaging site. Traps are rebaited and the newly-caught birds are checked to make sure they’re not the banded birds released earlier.

Birds may also be tested for diseases or West Nile Virus. TAP will introduce falcons to the abatement site. When the predators can fly freely without danger, we will instruct our falcons to patrol the area and scare the pest birds into abandoning their nests and roosts.

Pigeon Abatement

TAP is quickly becoming the expert eradicator of pigeons in California. The sooner you phone us about a developing pigeon problem, the easier and less-costly it is to get rid of them. Pigeons cause millions of $$ of damage every year.

 Nuisance Wildlife

Raccoons and skunks can carry several diseases that can be transmitted to humans. For example, the Raccoon Roundworm can infect humans and the disease is untreatable and often fatal. Special laws governing control of these animals exist in California. Tactical Avian Predators now offers licensed Wildlife Control and can handle raccoons and skunks.

Feral Cats

TAP's Feral Cat program keeps everyone happy and manages the size of cat populations. Our program greatly increases the health and safety of the cats and the areas they occupy, making it safe for both humans and feral cats.

Tactical Avian Predators is fully licensed and insured. We have an extensive safety program in place and are authorized to work in hazardous environments. For example, we work for oil refineries.
